山田 晃一郎 | 陶芸家・美術家
1984年大阪生まれ。2008年京都嵯峨芸術大学彫刻コース卒業。滋賀県信楽町を拠点に、自身の工房および穴窯「はふり窯（YURUTARI）」にて、現代陶芸アートや器を制作。2019年より灰塚窯の木戸貞昭氏に教わり、薪窯の技法を修得。彫刻的な造形思考をベースに、信楽の伝統的な炎を通じて、大地や大気、原始のエネルギーの巡りを表現している。また、志を同じくする本格派の美術家・工芸家の仲間たち、そして美術館長とともに、年に一度のコミュニティイベント「醒心の祭」を立ち上げ・主宰。地域に根ざした新たな芸術運動の輪を広げている。
Koichiro Yamada | Ceramic Artist & Sculptor
Born in Osaka in 1984, Koichiro Yamada graduated from Kyoto Saga University of Arts in 2008, majoring in Sculpture. Based in Shigaraki, Shiga, he creates contemporary ceramic art and functional vessels from his studio and anagama kiln, “Hafuri-gama” (YURUTARI). He expanded his expertise in 2019 by learning the art of wood-firing from Sadaki Kido at Haizuka-gama. His work bridges fine art sculpture and the traditional spirit of Japanese pottery, capturing the raw energy of earth and air. Dedicated to collective artistic growth, he co-founded and organizes “Seishin no Matsuri” — an annual collective movement created alongside a museum director and a close circle of accomplished peer artists and artisans.
